Algeria is back on the world stage twelve years after its fourth appearance at a World Cup in 2014 in Brazil.

World Cup history

Algeria made its World Cup debut in 1982 in Spain and immediately made headlines. The Greens became the first African team to defeat a European side in a World Cup finals, overcoming Germany.

Road to qualification
