Major heartbreak for Senegal, knocked out by Belgium (3-2 after extra time) in the round of 32 of this World Cup. The Lions were ahead by two goals until the 85th minute.

Speaking to beIN Sports, coach Pape Thiaw did not blame the officiating, even when discussing the penalty awarded to Belgium in extra time. Instead, he chose to focus on his team's shortcomings.

"I don't want to comment on the referee's decision. It hurts, but we have to congratulate the team that gave everything. We failed to manage our 2-0 lead. As for the penalty, everyone can have their say, but I don't want to get into that," said the Lions of Teranga tactician.
