Disappointments have certainly not been lacking in this World Cup. And the results recorded have logically had a direct impact on the FIFA rankings of the teams competing in the tournament.

By losing all three of its group stage matches—against Sweden 5-1, Japan 4-0, and the Netherlands 3-1—Tunisia suffered the biggest drop in the FIFA rankings since the start of the 2026 World Cup, plummeting 12 places from 45th to 57th position.

Panama, Uzbekistan, and Jordan, who were also eliminated in the group stage without a single victory, each lost ten spots in the live rankings.

Other teams disappointed as well, such as Czechia, South Korea, Iraq, Turkey, and Haiti, who lost all three matches—against Scotland 1-0, Brazil 3-0, and Morocco 4-2—in their first-ever World Cup appearance.

Panama: down 10 places, from 34th to 44th

Uzbekistan: down 10 places, from 50th to 60th

Jordan: down 10 places, from 63rd to 73rd

Czechia: down 8 places, from 40th to 48th

South Korea: down 7 places, from 25th to 32nd

Iraq: down 6 places, from 57th to 63rd

Turkey: down 6 places, from 22nd to 27th

Haiti: down 5 places, from 83rd to 88th
