2026 World Cup: The scenarios that will secure Algeria's qualification
Vladimir Petkovic

Algeria is on the brink of securing a spot in the 2026 World Cup. They just need to deliver in the last two matches to book their ticket. Discover what it will take for the Fennecs to make it to the World Cup.

Algeria can punch their ticket to the 2026 World Cup this October. Last September, the Fennecs missed the chance to officially qualify, unlike Morocco and Tunisia. However, with upcoming clashes against Somalia and Uganda, Vladimir Petkovic's squad could be set for an American summer.

The Fennecs will qualify if they beat Somalia, or if they draw with Somalia and neither Uganda nor Mozambique win. Alternatively, if both Uganda and Mozambique lose, Algeria will go through. To avoid any complicated scenarios, a win against Somalia will send the entire nation into World Cup euphoria.
