30th red card for Sergio Ramos

Time passes, but Sergio Ramos stays true to his habits. On Sunday night, against Pumas (3-1), the Spaniard saw red for unsportsmanlike conduct in the 91st minute.

While Monterrey was comfortably leading, Ramos reacted violently to a provocation from Guillermo Martinez. A move caught by the cameras, confirmed by VAR, and penalized immediately. Moments earlier, he had already escaped a first card after elbowing Pablo Benevendo.

This 30th red card of his career is his first in Liga MX, after 26 dismissals at Real Madrid, two at PSG, and one at Sevilla. Suspended for the match against Club Tijuana, he will leave Monterrey in a tough spot in the playoff race.
