A brace including a free kick: Son Heung-min shines with Los Angeles! (Video)

South Korean star Son Heung-min continues to shine with Los Angeles FC, confirming his status as an essential figure for the team.

During the latest match, played early this morning against the Vancouver Whitecaps, the former Spurs player opened the scoring in the 60th minute before striking again in the dying seconds with a stunning free kick in the 90+5th minute.

A brace that wasn’t enough

Despite this brace, Los Angeles FC couldn’t secure qualification for the Western Conference final in Major League Soccer, as the Vancouver Whitecaps, with Thomas Müller, ultimately triumphed in a dramatic penalty shootout (4-3).

This season, Son has been involved in 16 goals for his team, scoring 12 and providing 4 assists.

Meanwhile, despite rumors of a possible loan return to Europe in January, Son has reiterated his commitment to Los Angeles FC, making it clear he will not leave the club this winter and will remain loyal for as long as he’s part of the squad, expressing his deep respect for the club.
