Egypt coach Hossam Hassan blasted the referee after Monday's 1-1 World Cup draw against Belgium claiming his team was robbed of a late penalty.

Speaking to post match media, the Egyptian manager could not hide his anger regarding a crucial moment in the final minutes of the Group G clash. Hassan targeted the referee's refusal to award the Pharaohs a penalty after Ahmed Mostafa 'Zizo' went down under a heavy challenge inside the box.

The legendary former striker implied a clear bias in how the decision was handled on the pitch. According to Hassan's post game press statements, the spot kick was completely undeniable and would have easily been given if the foul had happened at the other end of the pitch for the European side.

Despite the refereeing drama, Hassan expressed massive pride in how much his squad has evolved. He emphasized that this match was the culmination of a tactical project he has been building with the players over the last two years since taking the helm.

The manager boldly claimed that Egypt completely outplayed their highly ranked opponents. He noted that the Pharaohs created far better goal scoring opportunities than Belgium and were much closer to walking away with all 3 point.
