Liverpool have become the latest club to express serious interest in Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.

As reported by TalkSPORT, the 22-year-old is now being closely monitored by the Anfield side, who have joined Manchester United and Real Madrid in the pursuit of the young Englishman.

On Merseyside, Wharton is viewed as a crucial addition to the midfield, particularly given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the long-term futures of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones. With an active push to strengthen their squad, Liverpool see the Palace star as a prime target. Across the current season, Wharton has made 44 appearances for Palace in all competitions, contributing seven assists. The asking price for the player is believed to be around £80 million.
