Adnan Beganovic gives damning assessment of TS Galaxy slump
Interview
TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has given an honest assessment of his team's poor run of form in the Betway Premiership of late.
The Rockets stretched their winless run to nine games after their defeat to Kaizer Chiefs last Sunday, with their last league victory dating back to January.
Galaxy sit 12th with 25 points and are six points above the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoff spot and as many points behind the lucrative eighth spot.
Beganovic admits his side has been in a disappointing collapse since their sole win of 2026 and suggests the exits of influential figures in January is also affecting the team.
“I think if we want to be honest, if we analyse everything that has happened since the second round started in January, we played only one game against Marumo Gallants and after that we dropped down,” said the Bosnian mentor.
"Obviously it shaked us a little bit when we lost Puso [Dithejane] and Khulumani [Ndamane] but it's not an excuse. If you want to be on the professional level and all players if they want to be in business on the professional level, they need to accept responsibility and need to show quality.
The 43-year-old tactician went on to deliver a scathing verdict on some of the players at his disposal, stating they are not good enough to replicate what has been done before.
“We need to be honest, some of them don't really have everything that we need to keep everything that we had in the past, in the first round and last season. We need to analyse everything and make a big remontada,” Beganovic added.
"It's very difficult to talk now because we still have to play so many games in the league and then we have the final of the [Nedbank] cup. We need to stay calm and finish the season as strong as possible.
"We need to win some points because now we have two games in a row at home but also we have that final on 02 May. We need to find a way to somehow come up and finish the season how it's possible for us and then we need to sit and discuss about everything.
Galaxy return to action with a clash against a confident Richards Bay side fresh from halting Orlando Pirates, with the match set for Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
