Al Ahly pushes for Ibrahim Diabaté

The Egyptian club Al Ahly is eager to sign Ibrahim Diabaté, the Gais striker. The Egyptian giants have reportedly submitted a second offer to the Swedish club for the 25-year-old Ivorian forward.

This season, Diabaté has netted 15 goals and provided 4 assists in 26 Allsvenskan matches, catching the eye of several European and African clubs. According to Africa Foot, Al Ahly initially tabled an $800,000 bid, but Gais turned it down, holding out for $1.5 million.

According to the same source, the Egyptian club has now raised its offer to $1 million, including a signing bonus for Diabaté. The Bissau-Guinean international is under contract with Gais until 2028, and the Swedish club does not appear willing to let him go easily.
