Al Ahly set to offload Trio as squad reshuffle begins
Al Ahly are preparing to part ways with three U21 players at the end of the current season, as the club moves forward with plans to restructure the squad according to statements from Egyptian media figure Ahmed Shobier.
Shobier revealed that the trio: Ibrahima Kazem, Reindorf Huncho and Samuel Obong are all expected to leave after failing to secure a consistent role in the first team.
Three names close to the exit
“Ibrahima Kazem impressed at the beginning but then disappeared and didn’t show the level that was expected” Shobier said.
He added that Reindorf Huncho and Samuel Obong are also heading towards the exit noting that neither player managed to deliver the technical impact required to remain part of Al Ahly’s long term plans.
Away from squad decisions, Al Ahly are preparing for their next domestic test against Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Premier League.
The match will take place on Sunday 27 April 27 with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 GMT.
