The Algerian national team delivered a flawless first half against Guatemala in Genoa, dictating a high tempo and relentless pressure on a defense that quickly found itself overwhelmed. Les Fennecs made their dominance count with clinical finishing.

Amine Gouiri broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, capitalizing on a defensive blunder, before Riyad Mahrez doubled the lead from the penalty spot. As the first half drew to a close, Abada added a third with an unstoppable strike.
