Algeria – Guatemala: the likely starting XI for the Greens
For this March international break, Algeria’s national team coach, Vladimir Petkovic, together with his staff, has opted to take on South American opposition, namely Guatemala and Uruguay. Both matches will be played in Italy: the first in Genoa, the second in Turin.
For this initial test against Guatemala, the Bosnian tactician is expected to field a starting eleven close to the one he envisions for the World Cup, while taking into account injuries and absentees.

The Algeria vs Guatemala match is part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. It will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa (Italy) and will serve as the first test of the March camp before the showdown with Uruguay, set for March 31 in Turin.
