Assane Diao, the gem Como wants to keep

Targeted by Manchester United, Assane Diao will not be leaving Como 1907 anytime soon. This is the clear message sent by Cesc Fàbregas, the coach of the Italian club, on the sidelines of preparations for the match against Torino FC.

At just 19 years old, the Senegalese right winger is making waves. He already boasts 8 goals and 4 assists in 32 appearances this season. Performances that have caught the eye of the biggest clubs, notably the Red Devils. According to several sources, a 40 million euro offer could soon be on the table.

But Fàbregas remains firm. "Manchester can obviously propose Diao for 40 million, but it is not guaranteed he will leave," he asserted. For the Spanish technician, Como's project is based on stability and continuity. "The goal is to create a journey with players who fit their characteristics."

Under contract until June 2029, Assane Diao is seen as a key element of the club's future. And even as his value rises, his departure is not on the agenda. For Fàbregas, ambition does not exclude loyalty.
