Athletic Bilbao confirms Iñaki Williams' injury

Iñaki Williams was forced to leave the match against Rayo Vallecano de Madrid (3-1) early on Sunday, April 13, in La Liga. In an official statement released on Monday, April 14, the Spanish club shared news about their Ghanaian forward.

"The player couldn't finish the match against Rayo Vallecano. Iñaki Williams had to leave the field before the end of yesterday's match against Rayo Vallecano at San Mamés due to a strain on the adductor muscles of his left leg. He awaits further treatment," informed Athletic Bilbao.

It's bad news for Athletic Bilbao, who are set to host Glasgow Rangers at San Mamés this Thursday, April 17, for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final. Iñaki Williams is one of the key forwards for the current 4th place team in the Spanish La Liga. The Ghanaian player has scored 5 goals in the Europa League this season after 11 appearances.
