Ballon d'Or 2026: Raphinha insists on Lamine Yamal

Another strong statement in support of Lamine Yamal in the race for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

As the leading candidates have been making their case for the 2026 Ballon d'Or over the past few days, Lamine Yamal has received significant backing. It has notably come from his teammate Raphinha (29, 7 matches and 12 goals in La Liga this season). As the Brazilian was left off this year's list of nominees, he is free to openly support whoever he wants.

"Lamine must win the Ballon d'Or, without a doubt. I think winning the Ballon d'Or depends on individual statistics, collective trophies and the magic you radiate on the pitch. Charisma, all of that. Those are the most important factors, and Lamine has all of them," said the FC Barcelona forward to The Guardian.
