Bamba Dieng (25 years old, 1.78 m) will no longer wear the SCO Angers jersey next season. Loaned since August 30, 2024, by FC Lorient, the Senegalese forward is packing his bags and heading back to Brittany, where he rejoins a club freshly promoted to Ligue 1 McDonald’s.

Brought in to bolster Angers’ attacking line, Bamba Dieng featured in 18 Ligue 1 matches, netting 3 goals and providing 1 assist. Despite these modest stats, the former Marseille man proved to be a valuable rotation option in a team undergoing reconstruction.

SCO Angers, who are also parting ways with several out-of-contract players, made the move official in a statement released on their social media channels. Bamba Dieng now joins the list of African players departing the club, alongside Farid El Melali, Zinedine Ferhat, Zinédine Ould Khaled, and Ibrahima Niane.
