Barça: Atlético Madrid makes a decision on Julián Álvarez
FC Barcelona will likely have to rethink its plans in the striker market. Touted as a top target to prepare for the post-Lewandowski era, Julián Álvarez will not be leaving Atlético Madrid this summer—at least according to the unequivocal message sent by the rojiblanco management.

Cerezo shuts the door
When questioned about the persistent rumors, president Enrique Cerezo was crystal clear in comments relayed by Win Win:
"Julian is a player under contract with Atlético Madrid, and he is happy."
He then added:
"No one from Barça has officially contacted us about his transfer, and that's all there is to say."
A statement aimed directly at Camp Nou.
Despite a more challenging spell statistically, Diego Simeone continues to back his striker. Responding to criticism, the Argentine manager shot back bluntly:
"Seriously? Are you really asking me that question?"
On the blaugrana side, Ronald Araujo also praised the player:
"He's a great player; for me, he's one of the best strikers in the world."
One thing is certain: Barcelona admires… but Atlético has no intention of letting go.
