Reports from CaughtOffside suggest that De Jong has been offered to multiple English Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United through intermediaries.

Barcelona's eager to avoid another financial fair play crisis, prompting them to offload high earning players. While club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco are in discussions with De Jong’s representatives regarding contract renewal, failure to reach agreement could see him depart in the summer of 2025 to prevent losing him on free transfer in 2026.
