Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen to express his discontent in his own way following Karim Benzema's transfer to Al Hilal. The Portuguese star has refused to participate in Saudi Pro League matches, sparking the anger of the Saudi league. After missing the game against Al Riyad (1-0), CR7 is also sitting out tonight's blockbuster clash with Al Ittihad, Benzema's former club. This stance appears to be tolerated by the Saudi club.

The supporters did not hesitate to show their loyalty to the Portuguese icon. During the match, fans of both Al Nassr and Al Ittihad paid tribute to Ronaldo in the 7th minute, demanding respect for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in a powerful show of support. They raised banners with his name and chanted "Cristiano" throughout the stadium.
