Junior Olaitan continues to stand out in Beşiktaş colors. The attacking midfielder, who scored in the victory over Başakşehir (2-0), made an impression with another long-range strike, scored in the 89th minute. The goal also caught the attention of his coach, Vincenzo Italiano, who believes the player can use this weapon even more.

Italiano urges Olaitan to take more chances

After the match, the Italian coach made no secret of his satisfaction with the Benin international. He notably highlighted the player’s attacking progress, having already been involved in several decisive moves:

We always talk with Junior Olaitan. He has provided assists… He had to score a goal,” Italiano explained, before highlighting his ability to shoot from distance. “He has scored two very beautiful goals. He can produce good long-range strikes; he has to do it more often.

This message reflects a clear expectation: the coach wants Junior Olaitan to take more responsibility in the final third and make more regular use of the power of his shot.

An important goal for Beşiktaş and Olaitan

Against Başakşehir, Junior Olaitan sealed his side’s victory after Hyeon-gyu Oh had opened the scoring in the 76th minute. The victory extended Beşiktaş’s run of consecutive home league wins to five. The Istanbul club also rediscovered the defensive solidity appreciated by Italiano, who was pleased to see his team finish without conceding after a more difficult period in that area.

For Olaitan, this goal above all confirms that he can influence matches through his attacking initiatives. By encouraging him to shoot more from distance, Italiano is sending him a positive signal: his quality is recognized, but he now expects it to become a more consistent threat.
