Brazil: The Ancelotti chapter closes! (Official)
The adventure of Davide Ancelotti at the helm of Botafogo has come to an abrupt end. The Rio de Janeiro club officially announced on Wednesday evening the departure of its head coach following internal meetings, without revealing the identity of his successor. In the wake of this decision, Ancelotti's entire close-knit technical staff also stepped down, signaling a decisive break in Fogão's sporting project.
In a succinct statement, the club management confirmed that
"Davide is no longer the head coach of the first team,"
while adding that
"the club thanks Ancelotti for his professionalism and commitment during his time in charge and as a member of the alvinegro family."
Arriving in July for his first experience as a head coach, Ancelotti leaves Botafogo in sixth place in the league and qualified for the next Copa Libertadores.

According to the Spanish press, this split was above all a personal decision by the 36-year-old coach, who wants to reassess his future. Davide Ancelotti could now join his father at the next international gathering or set his sights on a new challenge in Europe, this time as the undisputed leader of a project.
