Bundesliga: and it's 15 for Serhou Guirassy!
After a brief absence due to a minor muscle injury, Serhou Guirassy made a sensational comeback this Saturday in the Bundesliga. For the 28th matchday, Borussia Dortmund traveled to Freiburg and secured a commanding 4-1 victory, thanks in part to a goal from their star striker.
Coming onto the pitch at the hour mark, the star forward of Guinea's Sily National took just seven minutes to make an impact, scoring his team's third goal. Video:
A triumphant return for Serhou Guirassy
This marks a triumphant return for the Conakry native, bringing his total to 15 league goals this season in just 24 matches.
Across all competitions, Guirassy now boasts 25 goals and 6 assists in 37 appearances for BvB.
This resurgence comes at the perfect time, just days before the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against FC Barcelona, scheduled for Wednesday, April 9.
Also shining on the European stage, Guirassy is currently the second top scorer in the Champions League with 10 goals, just behind Raphinha, who has scored 11 goals. Enough to fuel all hopes for Dortmund.
