The Bundesliga witnessed rare occurrence in matchweek 25 as all 3 german giants (Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund) suffered defeats on the same day.

A Night of Upsets

• Bayern Munich, the league leaders fell 3 - 2 at home to Bochum.
• Bayer Leverkusen, the reigning champions lost 2 - 0 to Werder Bremen.
• Borussia Dortmund suffered narrow 1 - 0 defeat against Augsburg.

First Since 2007

This marks the 1st time since Matchweek 20 of the 2006 -07 Bundesliga season that all three clubs have lost in the same round. Back then:

• Bayern Munich lost 3 - 0 to Nurnberg.
• Leverkusen suffered 3 - 2 defeat against Wolfsburg.
• Dortmund fell 1 - 0 to Stuttgart.

Breaking Unbeaten Streaks

Bayern's loss to Bochum was their first league defeat since 2 - 1 loss to Mainz on 14 December. It was also their 1st home defeat in the bundesliga this season.

Leverkusen, meanwhile, tasted defeat for the 1st time since their 3 - 2 loss to RB Leipzig on August 31.

Dortmund's struggles continue with their loss to Augsburg marking their 6th defeat in their last 10 Bundesliga matches.

Bundesliga Standings After the Shocks

Despite the setback, Bayern remains atop the Bundesliga with 61 point, holding 8 point lead over 2nd placed Leverkusen. Dortmund's poor form sees them drop to 10th place with 35 point, putting their european qualification hopes in serious jeopardy.
