CAF Champions League: Aboubacar Diakité secures a draw for ES Tunis

Espérance de Tunis have Aboubacar Diakité to thank. The Blood and Gold snatched a crucial point away at Petro Atlético (1-1) this Saturday, during Matchday 2 of Group D in the CAF Champions League.

Trailing since the start of the second half, EST struggled to find a breakthrough. Then Diakité, who came on in the 81st minute, changed the course of the match. Opportunistic and determined, the Malian striker netted the equalizer deep into stoppage time, allowing his team to leave Luanda with a draw that could prove vital as the competition progresses.

Thanks to this hard-fought point, Espérance now have 2 points, while Petro remain top of the group with 4.
