CAN 2025: Moussa Niakhaté's powerful response

It's utter chaos following CAF's stunning decision to annul Senegal's victory in the final of CAN 2025. This verdict has caused a major uproar in Senegal. Moussa Niakhaté, one of the key architects of Senegal's triumph in Morocco, has now broken his silence.

After Gana Gueye, another Senegalese dressing room leader, Moussa Niakhaté, has now spoken out hours after CAF's ruling awarding CAN 2025 to Morocco.

"For eternity. We are African champions and I will never tire of saying it! So proud to be part of this exceptional group that brought a second star to Senegal." he wrote on his social media on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Moussa Niakhaté elaborated further. By a twist of fate, he was chosen yesterday by Olympique Lyonnais to attend the pre-match press conference ahead of their Europa League clash with Celta Vigo. The Senegalese defender answered just one question about CAF's bombshell decision and the possible loss of the African champion title.

"I discussed it with the club. Out of respect for OL and given the importance of tomorrow's crucial match, I don't want to go into too much detail. As you saw, my reaction on social media remains unchanged today. All I can say is that nothing changes about what I experienced two months ago. There will be time to answer these questions, and I will do so when the time comes." he said.
