Morocco’s appeal dismissed

Me Seydou Diagne confirmed that the requests submitted by Morocco were rejected on appeal. The Kingdom had demanded the return of the prize money as well as the individual medals awarded during CAN 2025, hosted in Morocco. This decision brings much-needed clarity to a central point of the ongoing dispute.

This case is part of a broader context of tension surrounding the organization and decisions of CAF. While CAN 2025 remains at the heart of heated discussions, this legal outcome could influence the next steps in the appeal process before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
