The deadline for submitting the squad lists of qualified countries for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has been revealed.

The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off exactly one month from now (December 21 - January 18). A crucial milestone awaits national team coaches. Indeed, this Friday, November 21, marks the deadline set by CAF for submitting the initial extended squad list of 55 players for the tournament. After this, it will no longer be possible to select a player who is not included in this list.

The provisional squad must be sent to the pan-African governing body by this date, but federations are under no obligation to make it public. The next step will come quite soon. Each team must submit its final 23-man squad no later than ten days before the start of the competition, that is, by December 11, 2025. After this deadline, no changes will be allowed except in cases of force majeure (notably injury) recognized by the organizing committee. The regulations also specify that if this final list is not submitted seven days before kickoff, the team will be limited to just 21 players.
