Burkina Faso has brilliantly secured their spot in the semi-finals of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations. The young Stallions defeated Zambia with a score of 6-1 during the quarter-finals held this Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Morocco.

In the opening minutes, the Burkinabè displayed their ambitions and set the tone. Mohamed Fofana opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a fine pass from Abdoul Moumine Ouedraogo. A perfect start to the match, the young Stallions were unstoppable.

Ten minutes later (21'), Ashraf Loukman Tapsoba converted a penalty and doubled the lead for the Burkinabè (2-0). Following this, Abel Salim Nyirongo reduced the deficit for Zambia before the break (2-1, 37th minute).

Back from the locker room, Halidou Diakité scored a double (58th, 70th minute) bringing the score to 4-2 for Burkina Faso. The Young Chipolopolos were overwhelmed. They tried to fight back, but the young Stallions' relentless determination was too much to overcome.

The prolific scorer Ashraf Loukman Tapsoba was not done yet. He completed a hat-trick, scoring again in the 77th and 90th minutes, sealing the victory for the young Stallions. With a resounding score of 6-1, Burkina Faso ousts Zambia and takes their place in the final four of the CAN U17 2025, awaiting the outcomes of the other three quarter-finals.
