CAN U17: Tunisia shines and answers Senegal!
Tunisia kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations U17 campaign in style, securing a decisive victory over Somalia (3-0) this Tuesday at the Stade Ben M'Hamed El Abdi in El Jadida, Morocco.
This victory allows the Carthage Eagles to take the lead in Group C, just hours after Senegal's win against Gambia (1-0).
From the first minutes, the Tunisians imposed their rhythm. It took only five minutes for Fedy Tayechi (Club Africain) to open the scoring with a pinpoint pass from Anisse Saรฏdi (San Diego FC/USA), outpacing the defense (1-0).
The revelation Fedy Tayechi on fire!
Despite a scare with an attempt by Anas Mohamed saved by Slim Bouskar, the Tunisians continued their dominance.
Just before the break, the Tayechi-Saรฏdi duo shone again, but with roles reversed: this time, Tayechi provided a perfect pass to Saรฏdi, who doubled the lead with a close-range shot (42nd minute). Unstoppable, the young Fedy Tayechi, only 17 years old, then secured the 3-0 (57th minute). Video:
With this convincing performance, Tunisia sends a strong message to their competitors and confirms their ambitions in this CAN U17.
