CAN U20 2025: New draw this Sunday following Tunisia's reinstatement
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the draw for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations conducted in February is canceled. It will be replaced by a new one, this Sunday, April 13 at 15:00 GMT, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo.
This decision follows Tunisia's reinstatement, subsequent to Ivory Coast's withdrawal from hosting the tournament. The CAN U20 2025 will take place from April 27 to May 18, 2025 in Egypt and will now feature 13 teams divided into three groups: Group A with five teams, and Groups B and C with four teams each.
To recap, the 13 nations participating in this 24th edition are: Egypt (host country), Morocco, Tunisia, DR Congo, Central African Republic, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya.
