Champions League: Harry Kane extends scoring streak to nine consecutive matches
Harry Kane scored twice against Viking on Tuesday, October 13, during the second matchday of the league phase of the Champions League. He has now scored 11 goals across a run of nine consecutive matches with at least one goal in the Champions League.
Harry Kane is continuing his Champions League scoring streak. Facing Viking with Bayern Munich, the English centre-forward found the net twice. His goals enabled the German club to fight back in a match that had started badly after they fell behind.
After conceding, Bayern were struggling and had to react if they were to draw level with their opponents. Harry Kane first reduced the deficit from the penalty spot before scoring a second goal to bring the two teams level. The brace further confirms his importance in Munich’s attack.

Eleven goals in nine consecutive matches
This performance allows the England international to extend his run to nine consecutive Champions League matches with at least one goal. He now has 11 goals during this period.
Kane has thus joined Robert Lewandowski and Ruud van Nistelrooy, who also scored in nine consecutive matches in the competition. The record remains held by Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored at least once in 11 consecutive matches for Real Madrid in 2017-2018. The Portuguese forward scored 17 goals during that run.
The Bayern Munich striker can now target this historic mark. He will need to continue his streak for three more matches to equal Ronaldo’s record.
