Chelsea positions itself for Lautaro Rivero

The young Argentine centre-back Lautaro Rivero (22) is attracting attention across Europe. After Atlético Madrid, Chelsea is now reportedly interested in the River Plate player, according to media sources.

The London club currently appears well-placed to convince Rivero, whose contract with River Plate runs until 2028. The player is said to have a release clause of €100 million.

Other clubs such as Manchester City, Tottenham, Juventus, and RB Leipzig have also been mentioned as possible destinations. It remains uncertain whether Chelsea will make a concrete offer as early as the January transfer window.
