Chelsea's African Stars Jackson and Madueke Set for Return After International Break
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca's confirmed that African stars Nicolas Jackson & Noni Madueke will remain sidelined for the club’s next 2 match but are expected to return after the international break.
Injury Setback & Recovery Timeline
Speaking in his pre match press conference, Maresca stated:
“Jackson'll be back probably after the international break. Him and Madueke. Before then, we've 2 game and finally, we've the break where we can recover energy, get our players back and prepare for the final sprint”
Jackson, the Senegalese striker, suffered injury against West Ham while Nigerian winger Madueke picked up hamstring issue in Chelsea’s 3 - 0 defeat to Brighton. Their absence's left Chelsea short in the attacking department impacting the team’s offensive firepower.
Importance of Their Return
Both players have been crucial for Chelsea this season with Jackson leading the line & Madueke providing direct attacking threat from the wings. Their return will be significant boost for the Blues as they push for strong finish to the season.
Maresca emphasized the importance of the break in allowing his squad to regain full strength:
“We can recover players and go for the last bit of the season”
Chelsea will be looking to reintegrate Jackson & Madueke quickly after the break as they aim to secure European spot and finish the season on high note.
