Copa del Rey: Real Madrid in the final after an epic comeback
Santiago Bernabéu was electrified by a legendary match. Trailing 3-1 with ten minutes left, Real Madrid clinched an improbable qualification for the Copa del Rey final after a stunning turnaround.
The suspense was at its peak. After a balanced first half (1-1), Real Sociedad pulled ahead with a double from Mikel Oyarzabal and an error by David Alaba. But Carlo Ancelotti's men responded with pride. Jude Bellingham brought them back with a superb volley before Aurélien Tchouaméni headed in to level at 3-3.
Then, a dramatic twist! Oyarzabal thought he had secured qualification for the Basques in the 93rd minute. But in extra time, as penalties seemed inevitable, Antonio Rüdiger rose above everyone to send Real to the final in the 115th minute.
A match of rare intensity, a breathtaking scenario. Real Madrid once again proved that, even on the brink, they should never be counted out.
