Cristiano Ronaldo considers buying a La Liga club
Cristiano Ronaldo might be embarking on a new adventure, this time off the pitch. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese star is considering purchasing Valencia FC, one of the historic clubs of La Liga, which is currently going through a challenging period under Peter Lim's management.
For several years, the Mestalla club's supporters have been waiting for a return to European competitions. This season marks another disappointment, with Valencia fighting to avoid relegation. However, the arrival of Carlos Corberan as coach has provided a slight glimmer of hope. Currently in 16th position, the team must stay in La Liga to envision a brighter future.
Now residing in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo would be backed by investors and sponsors, including the Saudi royal family. The acquisition amount for Valencia FC, estimated at 450 million euros, does not seem to be an obstacle. The former Real Madrid star, with his ambition and leadership, could be the catalyst needed to rejuvenate the Valencian club. It remains to be seen if Valencia's supporters will accept having a former Real Madrid hero at the helm of their club.
