The Dstv Diski Challenge (DDC) title race between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns is heating up ahead of matchday 28 at the weekend.

Pirates visit Magesi FC on Saturday in a bid to consolidate their championship credentials as they sit three points clear at the top of the table with 66 points picked up.

Sundowns, similarly, will be away to Richards Bay the following day, with the Brazilians looking to keep pace with the log leaders in their quest for a second title.

Elsewhere, Siwelele FC, who sit third with 50 points, tackle Golden Arrows, aiming to secure a respectable finish in their maiden campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs, defending champions who sit fourth with 46 points, welcome fifth-placed Stellenbosch FC, who finished as runners-up last season.

In the middle of the pack, Sekhukhune United entertain Marumo Gallants, while Orbit College face off against Durban City.

At the other end of the table, bottom-placed Chippa United will battle AmaZulu away from home, with 13th-placed Usuthu eyeing a gettable top half berth.

Polokwane City, who are in 15th place, will square off against TS Galaxy as both teams look to snap their respective winless runs in the reserve league.
