Demba Cissé bounces back at Al Qabila FC

After two years away from the pitch, Demba Cissé embarks on a new challenge. The 39-year-old Senegalese striker joins Al Qabila FC, a club in the fourth division of the United Arab Emirates. The club officially announced his signing on their social media.

Formerly a key player for Newcastle United, Cissé scored 37 goals in 117 Premier League appearances. Since leaving England in 2016, he has had stints in China, Turkey, and France before finding himself without a club since 2023.

His arrival at Al Qabila FC aligns with the club's ambitions for promotion, led by his former teammate Steven Taylor. After proving he is still competitive, the Senegalese forward hopes to bring his experience and goal-scoring prowess to the team.
