Dortmund: "Guirassy is our lifeline, a true professional," Kovac

Serhou Guirassy has become a key player for Borussia Dortmund since his arrival last July from VfB Stuttgart. With 24 goals scored across all competitions this season, his impact is undeniable. Ahead of the match against Augsburg, coach Niko Kovac highlighted the importance of the 28-year-old Guinean international.

"As for Serhou Guirassy, it's clear that he is our lifeline at the moment. He is the player who has scored the most goals for us in the Bundesliga, as well as in the Champions League. He's a very important player whom I already know. I want him to play as much as possible. But I'd also like him to play a little less from time to time. However, he is our only true center-forward. That's why he has to play. Right now, of course, he is also in a situation where Ramadan is ongoing, which doesn't make things easier. But he's a professional, a true professional, and we expect him to handle the situation well."
