European Super Cup: Achraf Hakimi will not play in the final

According to sources close to Paris Saint-Germain, Achraf Hakimi will not be on the pitch for the European Super Cup final against Aston Villa.

While he had to rely on many young players against Mallorca (0-3) in last Wednesday’s friendly, Luis Enrique may be able to bring back some key squad members for the second pre-season match against Manchester United, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday. Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and João Neves are all expected to return to the Parisian squad after a week of training. Meanwhile, Maghnes Akliouche, who arrived Thursday from Monaco, should also be present.

Additionally, PSG coach Luis Enrique will still be without several World Cup players. Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernandez, Achraf Hakimi, and Fabian Ruiz are all expected to return to PSG’s training center between Saturday and early next week.

This group of players is not expected to be available for Wednesday’s European Super Cup final against Aston Villa.
