On Wednesday night in the European Super Cup final, Brian Madjo made a statement with Aston Villa against Paris Saint-Germain (1-2).

The Anglo-Luxembourgish striker, who joined last winter, was playing his first official match for Aston Villa on Wednesday night in the European Super Cup final. And the result? The Anglo-Luxembourger delivered a superb performance, capped off by a goal.

At 17 years and 212 days old, former Metz player Brian Madjo became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the European Super Cup. It's a remarkable record for Brian Madjo. He now joins the select group of strikers who can trouble Willian Pacho.

It's worth noting that Brian Madjo wasn't the only one making history on Wednesday night. With this latest triumph, French capital club Paris Saint-Germain became only the fourth team in history to retain the European Super Cup title, following the doubles of Ajax Amsterdam (1973, 1974), AC Milan (1989, 1990), and Real Madrid (2016, 2017).
