The executive committee of Union Sportive de Monastir has officially announced the mutual termination of the contract with head coach Faouzi Benzarti, after approximately five months at the helm of the first team.

This split, though unexpected, took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The club's management expressed its gratitude to Benzarti, praising his professionalism and vast experience, both of which contributed significantly to the improvement of the team's performances.

The statement from the club in the capital of Ribat read as follows:

While thanking him for all that he has brought to our team throughout his illustrious career, we salute the great professionalism and extensive experience that characterized his work at the head of the technical staff, where he effectively contributed to the team's development and its competitive edge. He will forever remain one of the sons of Union, whom we are proud of and whose history is rich with achievements.

We affirm that the doors of the Union will always remain open to its son, Mr. Faouzi Benzarti.

As for the choice of a new head coach, several options are under consideration. According to information from Diwan FM, two profiles are currently in talks with club management: Tunisian Saïd Saïbi, former head coach of Club Africain, and Algerian Kheireddine Madoui, ex-coach of Étoile du Sahel.

Meanwhile, Echourouk Online reports advanced negotiations with Montasser Louhichi, a coach well-known in the Tunisian league for his extensive experience in the Professional League 1.

No official decision has been announced yet, but the name of the new coach is expected to be revealed in the coming days.
