FC Barcelona: Ronald Araujo scores in Copa del Rey, the locker room’s gesture

Last night, Ronald Araujo netted Barcelona’s crucial second goal in their Copa del Rey quarterfinal against Albacete.

At the end of 2025, Ronald Araujo had struggled with psychological issues. The French defender took a break for nearly six weeks—a hiatus that seems to have paid off. Scoring against Albacete (1-2) this Tuesday in the Copa del Rey, the Barcelona center-back was celebrated by his teammates.

"When I scored, all my teammates hugged me, supported me, and told me I deserved it. I want to thank them for helping me come back," the Uruguayan international said after the match.
