Fecafoot: A challenger submits candidacy against Samuel Eto'o

A candidate has officially declared his intention to lead Fecafoot after Samuel Eto'o.

Already barred from seeking re-election at Fecafoot, Samuel Eto’o has now seen a new contender emerge in recent hours. Gilles Christian Ngnize has come forward, announcing his ambition to take the helm of Cameroonian football and bring an end to the turbulent years of Eto'o’s presidency.

"Passion has turned into division, stadium revenues are negotiated in back rooms (...) This is not our vision. (...) Financial resources must be managed diligently to honor our commitments and fully involve the players in the stakes at hand." he stated this Wednesday during a press conference in Douala.

At 46 years old, Gilles Christian Ngnize is a former marketing director with experience at the Cameroon Professional Football League.
