The Kenyan national team suffered a 0-2 defeat to Australia in the final of the FIFA Series this Wednesday at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.

After their 2-0 win over India in the semi-final, the Harambee Starlets faced a relentless Australian side on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, in Nairobi, falling 0-2 to the Matildas. The Australians had already signaled their intent with a commanding 5-0 victory over Malawi.

This tournament served as a major dress rehearsal for the Harambee Starlets ahead of the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
In the third-place play-off, Malawi lost to India 2-3.
