First pro contract for Damien Odera

The young Kenyan striker Damien Odera, just 18 years old, has signed a long-term professional contract with FC Zurich, keeping him at the Swiss club until 2030. Zurich is betting on him as one of their most promising talents for the future.

Since arriving in Zurich in July 2024, Odera has quickly risen through the U21 ranks and already made his debut with the first team, even finding the back of the net. He’s shown his versatility by playing both on the left wing and as a centre forward.

The young forward is following in the footsteps of his father, former Harambee Stars legend Osborne Monday. His signing is a boost for Kenyan football and a clear sign of his growing potential in Europe.
