France national team: Kylian Mbappé puts Cameroon ahead of Algeria

Kylian Mbappé has made a choice between Cameroon and Algeria.

In a recent appearance, Kylian Mbappé was asked which national team he would have played for if he hadn’t represented France. On the podcast The Bridge, Mbappé answered candidly.

"I grew up more with Cameroonian culture than Algerian culture, because I was closer to my Cameroonian family. But over the years, I’ve gotten much closer to my Algerian family. And I’ve never been to Algeria, but I want to go, it’s something I really want to do. Everyone thinks I don’t care because I’ve never been there, but I’ve been to Cameroon often. Okay, I’ll say Cameroon, and I’ll send Ethan to Algeria (laughs)," explained the Frenchman.
