"He Looks Like a Youth Player": Man Utd Legend Gary Neville Slams Liverpool Star in Brutal Assessment

Manchester United legend Gary Neville's sharply criticized Liverpool full back Milos Kerkez for what he described as naive performance during the Reds 2 - 1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Neville: Kerkez looks like academy player

Speaking on his podcast after the game, Neville said:

"Kerkez, to be honest, looks like youth player right now. I know he’s talented but he seems like kid on the pitch. He’s got Premier League experience and has played in these stadiums before so I expected more"

Neville added that playing next to Virgil van Dijk should help him settle faster, saying:

"He’s alongside one of the world’s best defenders. That should make life easier. But since the opening 10 minute of the season against Bournemouth, he’s struggled"

Slot defends his player amid injury crisis

Liverpool boss Arne Slot defended Kerkez explaining on Sky Sports:

“Milos was getting tired. He’s played 3 matches in week which didn’t happen at Bournemouth. It became hard for him to continue especially with Chelsea’s wide players causing problems"...
