Highest paid players at Orlando Pirates

The Orlando Pirates have released reports showing the highest paid players in the Orlando Pirates squad, and as it turns out, the much-discussed Monnapule Saleng was not on that list.
Inside Orlando Pirates’ Payroll: Who Tops the Salary List?
Orlando Pirates, one of South Africa’s most storied football clubs, has a wage structure that reveals some interesting disparities. According to reports from Briefly and salarypedia.co.za, the team’s highest-paid player takes home a staggering R500,000 per month—nearly five times more than some of his teammates.
Leading the pack is Deon Hotto, whose monthly earnings hit the half-million-rand mark. Following him is rising talent Evidence Makgopa, who pockets a respectable R200,000. Three players—Innocent Maela, Zakhele Lepasa, and Goodman Mosele—each earn R150,000 monthly, placing them in the mid-tier of the squad’s wage hierarchy.
However, the figures become more surprising when looking at other key players. Olisa Ndah, a crucial part of the Pirates’ defense, earns just R107,000—significantly less than some of his teammates despite his importance to the team. Similarly, midfielder Miguel Timm makes R120,000, raising questions about how the club values different roles.
