How Domino's Pizza trolled Tottenham's Premier League collapse

Tottenham Hotspur have been subjected to a viral social media joke by global fast food chain Domino's Pizza following their historically poor attacking start to the new Premier League campaign.

A viral social media dig

After Tottenham played out a frustrating 0-0 draw against Everton in Matchweek 4, the UK branch of Domino’s took to X to mock their severe scoring woes.

The restaurant chain posted:

"We've delivered 489,297,478 pizzas since Spurs last scored a Premier League goal"

This staggering figure highlights a goal drought dating back to the final day of the previous season on 24 May when Tottenham secured a narrow 1-0 victory, ironically also against Everton.

Since that day, Roberto De Zerbi's side has entirely failed to find the back of the net in competitive league action.

An unwanted piece of history

The current barren run represents the first time in Tottenham's history that they have failed to register a single goal across their first four matches of a Premier League season.

This offensive collapse has left the North London club languishing in 17th place in the league table having collected just two points from their opening fixtures.

The viral joke is also a familiar experience for the fanbase, Domino's previously targeted Spurs in March of last season when the club was dangerously flirting with the relegation zone.
